We see in our community globally and locally ever growing needs. As we look at the world around us we see anger, pain, sorrow, fear, hatred, corruption, ignorance, despair, and suffering. Yet we also see hope, love, wisdom, goodness, light, truth, knowledge, and virtue. How do we prepare ourselves and our children for the future? How do we fulfill our roles as members of humanity? How do we reach our full potential? How do we combat the forces of oppression around us and share the light of truth with those around us?
We are admonished to “seek … diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith." "Come unto me" and "If ye love me, feed my sheep." At BLESS we are devoted to following these admonitions. We provide classes, forums, materials, and activities to assist individuals and families in the pursuit of learning.
Children's Classes
Children naturally possess the most valuable learning tools: insatiable curiosity, energy, faith, creativity, and a natural state of inquiry. The aim of BLESS is to place pieces of truth within reach so that they may experience, study, investigate, ponder, and develop wisdom and understanding.
We offer classes in a variety of subjects such as language arts, theater, visual arts, music, mathematics, and science. The goal of these programs is to foster skills and creativity in children that will assist them throughout their lives. Students should learn life skills such as teamwork, empathy, respect, and discipline; and gain knowledge as they work and play together.
BLESS Children's Courses incorporate a multiple learning style approach. We understand that individuals have various strengths and learning styles. These classes are designed to develop verbal, reading, and writing skills. Our courses integrate traditional teaching methods with theater, musical, and kinesthetic activities.
